在這里學(xué)什么？

The Master of Philosophy involves research and advanced coursework. You will be assigned a supervisor and, usually, an associate supervisor.

Full time candidature is usually completed in two years. Part time candidature can take up to four years. You will be required to complete a probationary year and produce an extended research plan at the end of that year. Examination is by presentation of a thesis of approximately 30,000 words. The University of Sydney is Australia's premier research university, and the Faculty of Education and Social Work is a world-class research centre in the humanities, human services and related fields offering an outstanding range of innovative research courses.

Research areas

Master of Philosophy candidates may undertake research in one of the following areas: gender relations and gender identity; indigenous issues; sexuality and sexual identity; social change; sociology of knowledge; knowledge building in social work practice; ageing and the end of life; child and young people safety and well-being; counselling; welfare and community services; disability and mental health; social policy; social work in health care; violence against women and children or an area negotiated with a potential supervisor.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Applicants need to have one of the following: a bachelor’s degree with first or second-class honours from the University of Sydney or another approved institution; an equivalent qualification that demonstrates sufficient research experience and capability. English Language Requirements: TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing; IELTS score: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band; TOEFL - PBT score: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing.
