The Master of Music Studies (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music will extend your technical mastery of your chosen instrument or voice, while deepening your knowledge of repertoire and performance practice. This master's course may be taken in any of the Conservatorium's instrumental areas, including orchestral and solo instruments, early music and jazz. You will undertake recitals, participate in conducted ensembles and chamber groups, and attend seminars with a performance theory focus. The Master of Music Studies (Performance) will provide you with a command of relevant performance technique and the ability to communicate through musical performance.

Graduate opportunities

Graduates of the Master of Music Studies (Performance) reach the levels of excellence demanded by the music profession, and are prepared for careers as performing soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral/ensemble players.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants need to have one of the following: a bachelor’s degree with first or second-class honours from the University of Sydney or another approved institution; an equivalent qualification that demonstrates sufficient research experience and capability. English Language Requirements: TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing; IELTS score: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band; TOEFL - PBT score: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing.
