在這里學(xué)什么？

The programme is designed to accomplish the following objectives:

• To introduce students to key concepts, debates, and perspectives on global studies and global society, with critical and reflective appraisal of those from different canons and western and non-western perspectives;
• To equip students with a broad range of research methods including quantitative, qualitative, ethnographic, and interpretive, and the ability to discern between these methods;
• To empower students with the competencies for appreciating the ethical and value issues associated with global society, and for translating their own perspectives into professional practice.

Concentrations

The programme has five concentrations as follows:

• Global Cultures
• Global Environmental Health
• Global Political Economy
• Global Social Development
• Global Urban Systems

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants should normally hold a Bachelor's degree for admission to a Taught Postgraduate degree programme; English Language Requirements: TOEFL - 550 (Paper-based), 79 (Internet-based); or IELTS (Academic): Overall Band at 6.5; or CET-6 (College English Test band 6): 450.
