With a unique structure that combines the resources of two pioneering research universities, the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health (SPH) has helped Oregon gain national recognition for creative public health solutions. Our biostatistics faculty have a wide range of expertise and research interests such as Bayesian statistics, big and high dimensional data, electronic health records data, machine learning, statistical computing, statistical genetics, bioinformatics, observational studies, clinical trials, and community intervention trials, with extensive applications to biomedical and public health research.

We offer three distinct Biostatistics graduate programs ― a Master of Science in Biostatistics, Master of Public Health in Biostatistics, and Graduate Certificate in Biostatistics ― to fit the needs of students with different educational goals.

The MPH in Biostatistics program equips you with applied biostatistical skills to collect and analyze data in support of public health research, program assessment, and policy analysis, all in the context of public health foundational knowledge. The program also prepares you to be proficient in statistical programming commonly used in public health research and practice, population-based study design, and epidemiological methods. The practice experience required by the program enables you to get involved in the community and to work on a project addressing public health challenges in an applied setting.
The MPH in Biostatistics program suits students who are mainly interested in applied statistical methods. Graduates of our Biostatistics MPH program have a high rate of employment with health care systems, nonprofit organizations, government health agencies, research institutions, device companies, and other employers.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 To be admitted to PSU for a master’s program, applicants must satisfy University requirements and be accepted by the academic department in which the graduate study will occur. Admission eligibility is based on receipt of a baccalaureate degree equivalent to a United States four-year bachelor's degree from a college or university recognized as an institution of higher education by the Ministry of Education in the relevant country or be regionally accredited within the U.S. Regular Admission: To be considered for regular admission, applicants must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or the equivalent (on the U.S. 4.0 scale). Applicants who have earned 9 or more letter-graded graduate credits must have a minimum graduate GPA of 3.0 or the equivalent; this graduate GPA supersedes the undergraduate GPA. IELTS: 6.5 overall score with minimum sub scores of 6.5 in reading and writing, TOEFL score of Paper-based: 550 overall; 22 in writing with 20 in reading and listening, TOEFL score of Internet-based: Minimum overall score of 80 with minimum sub scores of 18 in reading and writing, PTE - Academic: 60 overall.課程信息
