The Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) focuses on positive development and resilience of diverse children, youth, and families in everyday life contexts. Our doctoral concentration is interdisciplinary, drawing upon the canons of anthropology, economics, education, family studies, human development, psychology, and sociology. Further, we value qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methodologies.

Students who enter the doctoral program without a master’s will complete one as the first part of their doctoral requirements.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have earned at least a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college in the United States or a comparable degree from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad. Students are required to have any one of the following: Bachelor degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management; Bachelor's degree - 4 - 5 years. They must have TOEFL score of greater than 610 and have GPA of 4/5 or 75% if B = 75 - 84% or 80% if B = 80 - 89% . English Language Requirements: TOEFL iBT - 79-102; TOEFL CBT - 213-253, TOEFL PBT - 550-610, IELTS (academic exam) - 6.5 with a score of 6 or higher in all sub-sections.
