Research in Information Management is primarily concerned with the use and impact of information and knowledge. The subject area of Information Management has a strong research ethos and offers you the opportunity to investigate a range of specialist topics. We are also interested in the following broad Information Management research opportunities: Cultural heritage (including digital cultural heritage and local studies); Digital Curation (including research data management; creative and cultural resources and business data); Information behaviour and use; Information and digital literacy; Information and publishing law; Information for Political Engagement (including social media and political participation); Information ethics; Knowledge Management; Preservation of intellectual heritage; Value and Impact of Public Libraries; The development of new information professionals (including CPD and online learning spaces).

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students need to have of the following qualifications: a four-year Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised "211" or "985" university with an overall average of 65% (4 point scale 64-67% = C- and 5 point scale 60-74% = C). 70% is required from all other recognised universities in China. Students who hold a three-year college Diploma from a recognised institution will need to successfully complete a pre-masters programme in China or the UK to be considered for entry. A small number of University postgraduate programmes do require a minimum of second class upper classification, or an equivalent. Applicants with lower qualification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis. Students need to have an IELTS overall of 6.5 includes 5.5 in Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening.
