專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么?The BA in Education and Human Development in teaching and school leadership prepares you for career as an educator and to earn one of many initial licensures. Our residency style preparation program offers you multiple and deep experiences in the schools starting in Freshman year that build toward a final, fulltime residency year in one of several districts with whom we partner.
Early Childhood Education (License)
Prepares future teachers to work in inclusive and diverse early learning environments with young children (infancy through age eight). Graduates attain practices that embrace the whole child in culturally and linguistically diverse public school or community-based early childhood education settings, emphasizing family-centered practices.

Students to obtain a bachelor's degree while completing field experiences and internships in place of employment. Graduates become professionals who create inclusive, culturally, and linguistically diverse public school or community-based early childhood education settings, emphasizing family-centered practices.
Non-Licensure Track
The Early Childhood Education (ECE) track in the Education and Human Development major has a strong focus on engaging Colorado’s rapidly diversifying student and family population. It combines cutting-edge research with real classroom experiences.
This 120 credit hour track is ideal for students who currently and/or intend to work in community-based early childhood environments that serve children from infancy-age five years.
Elementary Education (License)
Prepares students to become teachers in diverse elementary classrooms with a focus on social justice and equity. Graduates leave the program highly qualified and well-prepared to support and understand the full potential of their students.
English Education (License)
Prepares graduates to teach English to diverse adolescents as they develop an appreciation for literature, writing, and new media.
Middle School Math (License)
Deepens an understanding of mathematics while illustrating how to engage middle school students in meaningful learning experiences. Applicants with a wide range of professional experiences are encouraged to take this program and become fully licensed middle school math teachers.
Secondary Math (License)
Prepares students to become teachers who encourage middle and high school students' ability to problem-solve and inspire critical analysis and decision making. This program emphasizes how to teach in diverse classrooms with a focus on equity and inclusion.
Secondary Science (License)
Prepares students to become teachers knowledgeable in the field of science education, who encourage middle and high school students to think critically, problem-solve, and analyze the world around them.
Social Studies (License)
Prepares secondary teachers to encourage their students to become civically engaged. The program focuses on instilling ways to help middle and high school students understand the importance of voting in public elections, how laws come into being, and how to keep in contact with their elected officials.
Special Education (License)
Equips undergraduate students to become teachers who identify and champion the strengths and assets of children with differing abilities, using impactful and effective skills for leading inclusive classrooms.
Secondary English Language Arts License
The secondary English Language Arts program ensures that you will develop deep content knowledge across a number of disciplines important to become a successful English teacher with courses in writing, literature, literary criticism and more.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) The applicant has earned a bachelor’s degree in the US or has successfully completed a minimum of 2 semesters (a minimum of 12 credits) of full-time study in a graduate-level master’s program at an accredited institution in the US and obtained a “B” (3.00) cumulative GPA or higher. The applicant obtains a composite score of 75 or above on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL, iBT) (minimum subscores of 15 in Reading, 15 in Listening, 19 in Speaking, and 20 in Writing) or a composite score of 6.5 or above on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (minimum subscores of 5.5 in each area).課程信息
