專業(yè)概況

在這里學(xué)什么？

Our standard of living depends on our civil infrastructure, a sophisticated system of buildings, bridges, dams, airports, transportation networks, water and power distribution systems, and environmental protection systems. Civil engineers are responsible for designing, maintaining and enhancing our civil infrastructure. They help to sustain the living standards and quality of life of the population. Civil engineers are also master builders. They create structures that stand as timeless symbols of our civilization.

BS Programs in Civil Engineering (BSCE)

Prepares students for successful careers in civil and environmental engineering, and offers many program options, and areas of career specialization.

There are four different tracks in the BS program in Civil and Environmental Engineering (BSCE):

GENERAL TRACK

Broad coverage of the civil engineering field including structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, construction engineering, transportation engineering, environmental engineering, and water resources engineering.

Civil Engineering, Building Science Emphasis (BS)

Covers civil engineering and architecture in collaboration with the School of Architecture. Prepares students for building design, construction and architectural engineering.

Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering Emphasis (BS)

Prepares students to design and build different types of structures, from high-rise office buildings to bridges and sports stadiums.

Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering Emphasis (BS)

Emphasis on both environmental and civil engineering topics. Engineering approaches required to provide safe drinking water, maintain air quality, and protect the environment.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) International applicants must provide official copies of academic records from all secondary or senior secondary schools, pre-university programs, and colleges and universities attended. English language requirement: A minimum score of 100 on the TOEFL iBT (with a minimum score of 20 in each section); OR A minimum IELTS score of 7; OR A minimum PTE score of 68.
