Aims

A distinct feature of the MScAAF Programme is to emphasise on the integration of the knowledge in both accounting and finance disciplines. This programme attempts to add value to accounting and finance professionals, business managers and executives by providing 11 courses covering the applied knowledge and skills in accounting and finance fields. Besides 8 required courses, students can select 2 more elective courses, so that they shall have a balanced knowledge in both disciplines. Additional one non-credit bearing course can also widen the exposure of the students, and bring them up-to-date in various current business issues. Students’ understanding of the conceptual and practical issues relating to both accounting and finance disciplines will be nurtured in the teaching and learning process.

• Required Courses 24 units
• Elective Courses 6 units

Students are required to take 10 coursework courses (a total of 30 units) and 1 non-credit bearing course. There are 8 required courses plus another 2 courses out of 9 electives to be offered by the Department of Finance and Decision Sciences and the Department of Accountancy and Law. Students may choose to perform an individual project as one of the elective courses under special circumstances with advance approval. Students can opt for concentrating more on either accounting or finance electives in light of their academic and working background and their needs for obtaining more knowledge and training in the accounting or finance field. Additional 1 non-credit bearing course can also widen the exposure of students, and bring them up-to-date various business issues.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants should normally hold a Bachelor's degree for admission to a Taught Postgraduate degree programme; English Language Requirements: TOEFL - 550 (Paper-based), 79 (Internet-based); or IELTS (Academic): Overall Band at 6.5; or CET-6 (College English Test band 6): 450.
