The aim of this research topic is to concentrate on process rather than product in the development of built environments, with a view to investigating and improving the performance of both the design and construction processes, the professional team and the end product. We are also interested in the following broad research opportunities: IT Applications within the design and evaluation of built environments; User involvement and decision support with planning and design; Improving the design, construction and performance of built environments; Project management process and the optimum operation of the team; Implementation of life cycling costing; Organisational, contractual and asset management arrangements.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students need to have of the following qualifications: a four-year Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised "211" or "985" university with an overall average of 65% (4 point scale 64-67% = C- and 5 point scale 60-74% = C). 70% is required from all other recognised universities in China. Students who hold a three-year college Diploma from a recognised institution will need to successfully complete a pre-masters programme in China or the UK to be considered for entry. A small number of University postgraduate programmes do require a minimum of second class upper classification, or an equivalent. Applicants with lower qualification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis. Students need to have an IELTS overall of 6.5 includes 5.5 in Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening.
