在這里學(xué)什么？

The Curriculum & Instruction master’s degree program is for teachers and other education professionals who want to pursue advanced studies in teacher leadership, educational theories and research, and curriculum design. Courses are intended to enhance equitable teaching practices and learning outcomes while providing opportunities for career development.

Our curriculum is grounded in social justice research and prepares educators to respond to increasingly diverse classrooms and to become leaders for change in their learning communities. The Curriculum and Instruction masters program engages and empowers individuals to develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to improve their professional practice.

The culminating Action Research courses allow educators to identify, study, and address needs specific to their district or agency in practical and cooperative ways. Teachers in the program work together with PSU and school personnel toward the goal of improving the K–12 curriculum.

Face-to-Face/Hybrid option

• On-campus courses offered throughout the year
• Schedule your classes around your life and learning style with face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses
• Summer term select core courses offered in online, hybrid, and face-to-face formats
• The on-campus program is not a cohort so you can apply and start taking your core courses and electives at any time.

Schedule options

• On-campus Thursday night fast track during the academic year
• On campus summer—selected core courses offered in online, hybrid and face to face formats
• Online cohort takes one 3-credit course together each term during the academic year and two 3-credit courses during the summer term.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH A MASTER'S DEGREE IN CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION?

Our graduates work in schools and communities as educational leaders and often make changes in their schools and districts based on the research they have done in the program. Others continue to work in their classrooms, having improved their educational practice. Graduates may become:

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be admitted to PSU for a master’s program, applicants must satisfy University requirements and be accepted by the academic department in which the graduate study will occur. Admission eligibility is based on receipt of a baccalaureate degree equivalent to a United States four-year bachelor's degree from a college or university recognized as an institution of higher education by the Ministry of Education in the relevant country or be regionally accredited within the U.S. Regular Admission: To be considered for regular admission, applicants must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or the equivalent (on the U.S. 4.0 scale). Applicants who have earned 9 or more letter-graded graduate credits must have a minimum graduate GPA of 3.0 or the equivalent; this graduate GPA supersedes the undergraduate GPA. IELTS: 6.5 overall score with minimum sub scores of 6.5 in reading and writing, TOEFL score of Paper-based: 550 overall; 22 in writing with 20 in reading and listening, TOEFL score of Internet-based: Minimum overall score of 80 with minimum sub scores of 18 in reading and writing, PTE - Academic: 60 overall.
