A degree in engineering gives you the background you need for a career that involves engineering but is not necessarily limited to it. Objectives

To prepare students for successful careers by providing:

• a comprehensive education that includes in-depth instruction in the major areas of Engineering.
• an emphasis on analysis and problem solving and exposure to open-ended problems and design methods.
• courses taught in a manner that fosters teamwork, communication skills, and individual professionalism, including ethics and environmental awareness.
• preparation for a lifetime of continued learning and leadership through classroom experiences, along with outside activities.
• the ethical awareness to recognize their responsibilities to society while at the same time making significant contributions in their chosen fields.
• the environment to cultivate and grow the innovative engineering, problem solving, and business skills needed to develop and bring to market competitive products and services for the benefit of society.
• the environment to develop the character, self-reliance, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills through a high degree of choice, involvement, and responsibility for their education.
